Yey! We received our final quote on the weekend! $30k over and above the base price of the house, which considering we have hardly changed anything, that's a bummer! This includes all the excavating and the fact that our soil test came back as "P" class, so we're pretty happy. The contracts are being drawn up as we speak and we will be getting together with Peta on the weekend to go through it! Hopefully it won't take long for the plans to get to and go through Council and we'll be on our way! Fingers and toes crossed to an early start in January some time!

Congratulations Mel... That took a while, we have had two additional plans drawn up and sent over in the time you have got yours... :-( Maybe it us taking up their valuable time... sorry about that... We will have to keep each other up to date as we go. Hopefully we will/may get a start in late January.. I hope, we will let you know. But that is great news and fantastic Christmas present, congratulations once again....

How is it all going guys, any more updates yet.... we are hoping land title release will be in the next few weeks.... yeah... then we can start seriously organising things...
Just re reading your entries and ours has come back about the same figure for $36k over the base price. As with you includes the "P" class slab and ALL of our changes with which I think we ended up adding about another 3sq to the size and changing and repositioning things. So we are happy with that also....
